My Key Experiences

I work as an independent consultant, mentor & Non-executive director within the fashion & clothing industry. I am called upon by both established companies requiring specialised assistance, as well as start-ups that are navigating the trade for the first time.

I speak at events & seminars designed to broaden understanding of clothing manufacturing.

With over 50 years of diverse industry experience at every level, from the factory floor to the boardroom, I am bringing solutions to the many challenges my clients face. My comprehension of the complete clothing production cycle from the initial design sketch through to delivery of the finished product to the consumer is of great advantage.

Puffa

8 Piece Collaboration between Puffa, Selfridges and Moss Bros promoted by Blue

Puffa joined forces with the designer, Tim Vogele-Downing* a very eminent designer of that time. I developed the collection from Tim’s sketches, including very distinctive branding, which he specially designed for this project.

Then I personally supervised pattern making and first samples, in our Far East factories, leading to the production of small batch quantities that were then sold in store, firstly at Selfridges and later at selected Moss Bros outlets. Retail prices ranged from £650 – £950.

Puffa also provided clothing for 2 Take That tours.

Lunch with Utelier: The Interview

Victor Rosenberg - NED/Consultant

19th October 2016 – By Dessy Tsolova

Meeting Victor Rosenberg some months ago was like a breath of fresh air. Always smiling and calm, honest, approachable, wise and knowledgeable on all things “fashion manufacture” related, is who I often think of in moments of work despair. So much so, that it will only be fair to share some of the conversation that we recently had over lunch.

With industry experience spanning four decades and a knack for storytelling, meeting with him is always enjoyable and inspiring. But perhaps above all, it is also productive as there is no problem that is too big or too small for Victor. There is always a solution and chances are he has solved that same problem before you and here’s how he did it… Just the right positive vibe we need in times of fashion crisis.
